This year's World Thinking Day theme, "Our People," celebrates Girl Scouts and Girl Guides around the world who are making a difference in their communities and beyond. Join us on Monday, February 22, from 6-8 p.m. at McHenry Township Hall, as we celebrate the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts and explore the connections that make Girl Scouts a worldwide sisterhood!
Girl Scouts and families will have the opportunity to explore art, games, activities, and information from countries around the world through community partners and troop-led activities. Discover different cultures and traditions, learn something new, and see the many ways Girl Scouts and Girl Guides are making a difference in their communities and helping to shape our future.
Troops and Juliettes (individually registered Girl Scouts) are invited to host a table at the event! Share a country's culture, tradition, game, craft, or activity with other Girl Scouts. Girl Scouts who choose to host a table will be given a stipend and an event registration discount for up to four troop members. A troop table sign-up sheet is available [here] and includes all the information you'll need to participate.
Girl Scouts who attend the event will earn the 2027 World Thinking Day Award, which is included in the registration fee, and must be accompanied by an adult. Adults may attend free of charge. Troops are encouraged to attend and must provide proper child-to-adult ratios.
