Interested in earning your Program Aide Award or Volunteer in Training (VIT) Award while gaining hands-on leadership experience? Join us for an informational session to learn what it takes to complete these awards and become a leader for younger Girl Scouts!
During this session, Cadettes will learn about the requirements for earning the Program Aide Award, while Seniors and Ambassadors will learn about the Volunteer in Training Award. Participants will discover how they can gain experience working with younger Girl Scouts by attending planning sessions and helping facilitate activities at various GSNI programs between February and May.
Participants who commit to the program will then work together to plan and host two Troop Trek opportunities at Camp McCormick-one designed for Brownies and one for Juniors, taking place in June and July. These hands-on experiences will provide participants with the opportunity to put their leadership, activity planning, communication, and facilitation skills into action while completing their award requirements.
