Ready to make a BIG difference in just a few hours? Join us at Feed My Starving Children and turn hunger into hope with your own two hands! Together, we'll work side-by-side to pack nutritious, life-saving meals that will be shipped to children and families around the world. This is a fun, hands-on service opportunity where every scoop, seal, and box packed helps provide hope to communities facing hunger.
Before you arrive, please review these important guidelines to help your packing session run smoothly:
Youth Volunteers
* All volunteers under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult who is able to participate in packing.
* An adult is defined as someone 18 years of age or older.
Arrival Time
* Please arrive 10-15 minutes before your scheduled packing session for check-in.
* Orientation and packing instructions will be provided during your scheduled volunteer shift.
What to Wear
* If volunteering in the warehouse, closed-toe shoes are required.
* Wear clean, comfortable clothing suitable for active volunteer work.
Jewelry & Accessories Policy To meet FDA food-safety requirements and ensure no foreign objects enter the meals, volunteers must remove most jewelry and accessories before entering packing areas.
Not permitted in packing, labeling, warehouse, or ingredient inspection areas:
* Earrings
* Watches
* Rings
* Necklaces
* Pins
* Brooches
* Other jewelry and accessories
Exceptions:
* Plain wedding bands are permitted.
* Wedding bands with stones require a glove to be worn.
* Facial piercings, gauges, and newly pierced earrings with locking backs are allowed (please notify a staff member).
* Medical alert bracelets and necklaces may be worn.
