Many future business owners take their first steps toward becoming successful entrepreneurs—both online and in-person—through the Girl Scout Fall Product Program.
Northern Illinois – On September 17, thousands of local Girl Scouts will open their own small businesses. These entrepreneurs will kick off Girl Scouts of Northern Illinois’ 2025 Fall Product Program with online and in-person sales offering gourmet nuts, candies, magazines, and more to Girl Scout supporters.
The delicious 2025 lineup includes fan favorites, such as Dark Chocolate Mint Penguins and English Toffee, and introduces new varieties like Cherry Almond Clusters and Nut & Caramel Trail Mix, along with a limited-edition holiday tin with either Deluxe Pecan Clusters or Chocolate Covered Pretzels—perfect for gifting. Online exclusive options include Caramel Apples, Gourmet Caramel Corn with Almonds and Pecans, Gourmet Nut Blend, Jumbo Cashews, and more. Girl Scouts also offer Tervis® Tumblers, magazines, personalized products, and candles. The sell-out original Girl Scout Bark Box® is back, along with three new boxes.
Customers who are not interested in purchasing any products but still want to support local Girl Scouts may make a $7 donation for nuts to be sent to military troops. All Girl Scouts who receive at least four donations earn the Care to Share fun patch.
The theme of the 2025 Fall Product Program is “Brave. Fierce. Fun!” and teaches Girl Scouts to skillfully navigate the virtual and in-person marketplace. These budding business owners have a great time setting up their own websites and begin to cultivate entrepreneurial mindsets. Each entrepreneur customizes their own site by:

About Fall Product Program
How is the Girl Scout Fall Product Program different than traditional school or club fundraisers? Through the Girl Scout Leadership Experience, entrepreneurs decide how to use their profits to fund their own group adventures! They’ll work together in-person or virtually with their friends—creating their first official boardroom—to share sales ideas, have fun, and collaborate on how to spend proceeds on what they want to do. Girl Scouts offers the online tools they need to succeed, along with in-person skills and training to raise up the next generation of thriving entrepreneurs and community leaders.
Funds earned through the Fall Product Program helps troops get started in the fall, long before the winter Girl Scout Cookie Program. Both programs teach important skills and help troops fund activities and service projects.
Girl Scouts learn five valuable life skills through participation in Fall Product Program. They set personal goals for themselves and a troop goal to achieve what they want to do as a group. They use decision-making skills to provide input on how to maximize sales and spend troop proceeds. They hone people skills by learning how to talk to, listen to, and interact with different types of people while gaining an understanding of the importance of customer service. By managing money, Girl Scouts get a better sense of counting change properly and ensuring a check is completed correctly. Lastly, they learn about business ethics. They gain an understanding of how important it is to be honest, meet deadlines, and properly market a product.
