GSUSA has recently opened general registration for both the National Council Session and Girl Scouts Unite Convention! All Girl Scout members are invited to join GSNI and GSUSA in Washington, D.C., Monday, July 20–Saturday, July 25, 2026. For details on what to expect and how you can participate, please visit our National Council Events page.
What is the National Council Session and Girl Scouts Unite Convention?
Every three years, Girl Scouts of the USA convenes its National Council Session (NCS), the central governing body of our Movement. The 58th National Council Session will bring together delegates from councils nationwide to deliberate and vote on matters of policy, priorities, and the future direction of Girl Scouting. This important session ensures our organization continues to grow in alignment with the needs of today’s Girl Scouts while remaining true to the Girl Scout mission.
Held in conjunction with NCS, the Girl Scouts Unite Convention is a broader celebration open to members, volunteers, alums, and supporters. This event offers opportunities to engage in workshops, leadership development sessions, networking experiences, and special gatherings designed to inspire and strengthen our community.
GSNI will send seven Delegates and two Alternates to the 58th National Council Session in July 2026. Our delegation is made up of both adult and youth members of GSNI, representing the voices of our council. They will actively participate in discussions and cast votes on matters that are important to our members and to the future of the Girl Scout Movement. Throughout this year, you will be introduced to our National Delegates and Alternates to learn more about who they are and how you can support them.
Together, the 58th National Council Session and Girl Scouts Unite Convention provide a unique moment for governance and celebration—ensuring that the voices of Girl Scouts everywhere help shape the Movement’s future while honoring its enduring legacy!
