When you use the skills that you learn in Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA) for adults, you are the first line of support for a child or youth in need. You are there to help your Girl Scouts feel less distressed and you can be a vital resource in helping them to seek further assistance!
Plan to bring a sack lunch, a snack, and your own refillable water bottle.
Volunteers will need to complete the 2-hour online course prior to the in-person session on January 24. After the in-person session, volunteers will be required to complete the final online work before recieving the Youth Mental Health First Aid certificate.
