Designed for older Girl Scouts who are ready to grow as leaders, Counselor-in-Training I (CIT I) introduces the basics of working with younger campers and being part of the camp team. Participants learn foundational skills in communication, group management, activity planning, and camper care, all while experiencing the fun of camp from a new perspective.
CITs will split their time between interactive leadership
workshops and hands-on experience assisting with camp groups and
activities. Led by dedicated camp mentors, this program helps Girl
Scouts build confidence, responsibility, and teamwork as they begin
their leadership journey.
This is the first step toward becoming a future camp counselor
or youth leader in any setting.
