Days may be shorter with a chill in the air, but young and old will be entertained and warmed by fun activities during Fall Fest at Camp McCormick in Stillman Valley on Saturday, October 18, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. (facilitated activities close at 2pm). Come meet cool camp visitors, check out brand new badges and activities, share s'mores over a campfire, and try relaxing in a hammock wheel! Girl Scouts and volunteers are encouraged to invite non-Girl Scout friends to register for the event to experience Girl Scout songs, learn new outdoor skills, and try hands-on activities provided by GSNI's awesome Preferred Partners. A scavenger hike to find hiddden gnomes and a walk through our famous corn maze will each provide chances to find treats along the way! GSNI's mobile retail store will be on-site, and there will be food trucks to purchase a hot lunch, if you don't want to bring a sack lunch.
Troops are encouraged to come for the day and must provide proper child-to-adult ratios. Families are welcome! Anyone who wears Girl Scout apparel will also receive a special surprise giveaway at the event!
All must register by the October 11 deadline. Each child must be accompanied by a adult attendee. Youth interested in learning more about Girl Scouts, or in joining, may register to attend the event with an adult for FREE! A waiver link will be sent in the confirmation email and is required by October 11 to participate in facilitated activities. All facilitated activities will be suspended in poor weather.
NOTE: All youth interested in participating in facilitated
activities need to fill out their activity
waiver. One waiver covers all applicable activities per person
(air rifles, rock wall climbing, sling shots, and Tomahawk
throwing). The waiver must be submitted by October 11 to provide
time for staff to cross-reference age eligibility before the event
.
SECOND NOTE: All youth interested in visiting the cows
and animals at activity stations will need to fill out a release of liability
waiver for animal interaction.
