Come meet Finnegan, an adorable service pup-in-training! Learn all
about service animals and how to treat our furry friends in different
settings, along with hands-on safety and first aid for animals.
Participants will attend a series of three workshops at either our
South Elgin. Each workshop includes light refreshments! If
participants complete all three sessions, they may build their own
hero in conjunction with our onsite Build-A-Bear Workshop, including
making a stuffed hero with vest and fun patch to take home.
This event is open to all Girl Scout levels. Troops are welcome
to attend and must follow appropriate volunteer-to-Girl Scout ratios.
Individual Girl Scouts are also welcome and should attend with an
adult chaperone, age 18 or older and out of high school. There is no
charge for chaperones, but they must register to attend. There is a
max of 25 youth participants per session.
If attending all three workshops, Brownies will earn the Pet
badge; Cadettes will earn the Animal Helper badge, and Seniors can
complete two of five requirements for the Voice for Animals badge.
Fee includes all three sessions:
* $50 for GSNI
Girl Scouts
* $55 for Girl Scouts outside of GSNI
