Support our AmeriCorps Team as they embrace Martin Luther King, Jr.’s Beloved Community mindset with a special service project! In January 2023, GSNI AmeriCorps-led troops will learn about social justice issues of poverty and mental health regarding local unhoused residents while emphasizing individual dignity.
All GSNI Girl Scouts are encouraged to donate new winter hats, scarves, and gloves (for adults and children) at our Oswego and South Elgin Resource Centers from January 3–13. Girl Scouts are then invited to join AmeriCorps members in Aurora on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Monday, January 16, to assemble Winter Warming Kits from 12–2 p.m. and distribute them safely from 2–3 p.m. at pre-determined locations.
