GSNI is excited to offer new Pre-Paid Trading Post Accounts for 2023 summer camp sessions. This relieves campers of having to carry cash around camp. Caregivers may pre-pay in $10 increments up to a maximum of $50 allotments for campers to have Trading Post (camp store) funds to spend on merchandise during their stay! Accounts may be created for youth attending overnight camp, day camp, horse camp, adventure camp, or troop camp at both Camp Dean and Camp McCormick.
GSNI’s Trading Post will not be documenting and holding credit cards for campers as in previous years. Adults may pay with a credit card in the Trading Post when the store is open for check-out but may not leave camper with card information for shopping alone during camp.
Any unused funds in a camper’s Trading Post account after their session will be directed to GSNI’s Campership Assistance program (not refunded) to help future Girl Scouts in need to attend camp. GSNI’s Ultimate Outdoor Adventure/Wildman Adventure Resort Trip does not qualify for pre-paid accounts.
Caregivers may also provide cash, checks, Cookie Dough, Cashew Cash, or S'more Dough to the Trading Post at check-in for campers to shop throughout the week. The Trading Post is available during most check-out times for families to shop together. Fun Trading Post items include camp apparel, camping supplies (mess kits, flashlights, water bottles), stationery, stuffed animals, fun patches (not Girl Scout badges), and novelty mementos.
