Dana Vierck, GSNI Board President
I was honored to represent GSNI as a delegate to the Girl Scouts’ National Council Session (NCS) in 2017! Along with the other GSNI delegates, we attended the Business Meetings to discuss and vote on the Proposals for consideration and elect the GSUSA Board of Directors and the GSUSA Board Development Committee.
As a delegate, I had the opportunity to voice opinions on the Proposals, the election of GSUSA Board Members, and had discussions with other delegates from councils across the United States. Participating as a delegate in NCS, you are using the democratic process to affect governance policies and determine the future of GSUSA.
From the opening flag ceremony, listening to keynote speakers, the presentation of the National Gold Award Recipients, through the Business Meetings, to the closing ceremony, you will find you are so proud to be a part of the Girl Scout Movement. It reignites your passion for our Mission! You also will visit the Hall of Exhibits, sing songs, and make new friends from across the United States and other countries.
I invite all adult members and youth Girl Scout members, ages 14 and older, to apply to represent GSNI as a delegate at the 2023 NCS in Orlando, Florida, from July 18–20, 2023. It is an experience you will never forget! As a GSNI delegate, you will be making an impact for the future of GSUSA and GSNI!
