GSNI has five Appreciative Inquiry Action Teams made up of staff, board members, and volunteers which are focused on different areas to drive and support membership growth. Read more about what the teams are working on now!
The Communications and Brand Awareness Team meets on the third Monday of each month and is looking for new members—no expertise in marketing or communications needed! This year we plan on analyzing our website with a focus group of volunteers, keeping our podcast growing, and exploring new social media platforms. We’d love to have you on board!
You’re also invited to join the Recruitment Processes Team as they kick off the new membership year with their first meeting on October 17.
This year, the Community Engagement Team is focused on building faith-based partnerships across our council! We will work on increasing girl engagement with religious rewards and recognitions, as well updating communications materials for current and potential faith partners. At our October meeting, the team will review existing flyers and materials, and we’d love to have your input! The team meets on Zoom the second Thursday of the month, with our next meeting on Thursday, October 13, at 6 p.m.
The Older Girl Action Team is regrouping for Membership Year 2023! This year we plan to continue our work in piloting the BAND App for older girls, expanding our Older Girl Directory, creating a Senior/Ambassador Recruitment Flyer, preparing for Fifth Grade Retention, and launching our Older Girl Media Group. We are looking for new members! Older Girl Scouts are welcome to join! We meet virtually the second Thursday of each month from 7–8 p.m.
For the new membership year, the Hiring for Diversity Team’s focus will broaden from just the hiring process to working to incorporate and embed diversity, inclusion, and belonging into our staff culture. Meetings will start again in November 2022.
Contact customercare@girlscoutsni.org if you are interested in joining any of the above teams! We’d love to have your valuable input!
