What is Camp CEO?
Camp CEO is an inspiring overnight experience that starts girls on the path to a bright future! No matter what career field she’s leaning towards, she will benefit from a variety of workshops led by local professional women. She will learn what it takes to ace an interview, rock a resume, and finance her future. One of the highlights of this exciting week is a business lunch where she’ll host a table of professional women in a variety of careers to network for her future.
Oh, and we didn’t forget the camp part! Girls will stay at Friendship Center at Camp McCormick where they will be able to enjoy all of the fun of camp, swimming, archery, crate stacking, and more.
Camp CEO is for all girls currently in 8–12 grades. She’ll make new friends as they relax by the campfire and dream about a bright future that starts at Camp CEO
Girls will stay at Friendship Center at Camp McCormick. Friendship Center is a modern building equipped with, electricity, bunk beds, showers, basic kitchen, and bathrooms.
Sample Daily Schedule

- 7:00 a.m. – 8:00 a.m. Breakfast
- 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. Outdoor Activity (yoga, swimming, hiking)
- 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Professional Session or Workshops (Resume Writing, Networking,)
- 12:00 pm. – 1:00 p.m. Lunch
- 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Leadership Sessions, Filed Trips (Goal Setting, Etiquette)
- 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Outdoor Activity (crate staking, archery)
- 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Dinner
- 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Evening Activities
One of the highlights of Camp CEO is the Champions Lunch. This amazing event is a chance for the girls to show off what they have learned. Each girl will host a table of professisonal women from the Northern Illinois area. She will get to show off her newly learned networking and ettiqute skills as she meets new women who can help her on her leadershp path.
Girls interested in participating in Camp CEO must register for the event and complete an application. Select applicants will be invited to interview within two weeks of submitting a completed application. Girls accepted into the Camp CEO class of 2017 will be notified within two weeks of their interview.
Apply early! Applicants will be accepted on a rolling basis and spots may fill. The last day to submit an application is April 12, 2017.
Fee: $150 per registered Girl Scout; $165 new Girl Scout
Fee includes program materials, food, and lodging. Financial assistance is available.
