Take Friends, Make Friends at Camp!

An important part of camp is making new friends! However, your camper may feel more comfortable coming to camp if a friend attends with her. If your camper and her friend want to attend resident camp together, follow these steps:

  •  If mailing registration, complete the Buddy Preference section on the registration form and mail the two registration forms together in the same envelope to guarantee both girls are registered for the same program.
  • If registering online, submit both registrations on the same day. Buddy requests must be mutual and for the same camp, program, and session. Both campers must satisfy prerequisites.

If more than two girls from a troop are attending the same camp, program, and session, they will all be in the same unit. However, in order to encourage making new friends, no more than two girls from the same troop will be in the same tent.

Camp is also a great place to make new friends—even for moms, dads, siblings, and grandparents! GSNI is offering four family and friend summer camping sessions in 2014. Check them out here. For a printable registration form, click here.
