Registration Procedures

Registration is required for all courses to ensure that trainers have adequate instructional materials and that classes do not go beyond their allowed requirements. The deadline for class registration is FIVE WORKING DAYS prior to the class date. WE CANNOT ACCEPT WALK-INS. Only participants who have registered through the Girl Scout Center in advance will receive credit for their training.

Register early as COURSES HAVE ENROLLMENT LIMITS. You will receive registration confirmation from your Girl Scout Service Center and will be notified if your class is cancelled. If you are not notified of any change, the courese will be held at the time and location as listed on the schedule.

TO RECEIVE CREDIT FOR A COURSE YOU MUST ATTEND THE ENTIRE SESSION. If the trainer feels you have missed too much by arriving late or leaving early, you will need to repeat the course.

Cancellations

Please contact Tracy at 630-897-1565, ext. 104 or tjoy@girlscoutsni.org if you find yourself unable to attend a course for which you are registered. We oftem have a waiting list and someone else may be able to take your place.

Class Specifics

  • Lunch:Meals are included in the Outdoor/Overnight course. For other courses scheduled through lunch, please BRING A SACK LUNCH.

  • Babysitting:There will be NO BABYSITTING at these courses. PLEASE DO NOT BRING CHILDREN with you. This could jeopardize our use of the facilities for future classes.

  • Outdoor Courses: Outdoor courses at one of our camps or outdoor sites will require walking shoes and casual clothing appropriate to the weather. Always bring a raincoat and boots.

  • Financial Assistance: Financial assistance is available. Contact Tracy at 630-897-1565 ext. 104 or tjoy@girlscoutsni.org for further information.

  • Locations: For information and/or directions to training locations, click here. For the safety of our girls and adult volunteers we do not publicize the addresses of our outdoor facilities. For addresses and directions, please call.
