Journey Updates
GSUSA has made updates to seven Journey books (10 pages). The books affected are at the Junior, Cadette, Senior and Ambassador levels. No Daisy or Brownie Journeys have been affected at this time. These updates have been made in an effort to ensure balanced information is presented for girls.
GSNI's Journey Update Plan
- GSNI Girl Scout Shops will place the required stickers in girl books currently in stock and as additional orders are placed.
- GSNI Girl Scout Shops will provide the required stickers with adult book sets currently in stock and as additional orders are placed.
(NOTE: Because the books are shrink-wrapped, the stickers will not actually be put in the book but attached to the set for placement by adults purchasing the set.) - Each shop will have a supply of extra stickers available by request. (PICK UP ONLY, stickers will not be mailed.)
- Volunteers may also request the stickers be sent via service unit meetings.
- Information on the corrections and links to the updates are posted on this page, and updates to specific Journey books are posted to their relevant pages as well.
It should be noted that the updates are not mandatory.You may choose to use the books as printed and that is okay. However, it is important that the option of updating the books is provided to everyone.
