As a Girl Scout Cadette, you can mix and match activities to suit your needs. Whether you want to play guitar or design your own dress for the dance, you can learn how while earning a badge or just try it for fun! Girl Scout Cadettes connect with each other and build self-esteem and confidence in their skills as they really start to find out who they are and what they want to become.

 

And you're never too old to join! If you are not already a Girl Scout, you don't have to worry about what you've missed . . . just look forward to what you can experience NOW!

  • Rockin’ the Basics

    Ready to take your climbing experience outdoors? Come find out if you know the basics of climbing, belaying, knots, and the value of Leave No Trace, before taking your expertise outside! This program is designed as the prerequisite for the Rock On! Outdoor Climb Program (Saturday, July 27) at Devil’s Lake State Park.

  • aMAZING Horses Series

    Be aMAZED at how horses can help you make better friendships! Work with the staff at BPS Friends to complete your aMAZE! Journey while riding and working with horses using Equine Assisted Learning. Then team up with your group to complete your Diplomat Take Action award.

  • Got Robot?

    Curious about the FIRST Lego League? Learn some basic programming skills as you program a LEGO™ MindStorms robot to perform some basic moves while incorporating various sensors.

  • Video Game Animation 1

    Dive into the world of video game animation by creating characters that dance, sing and interact with one another. You will work in teams to create a dynamic video animation game. You will be able to add sound effects and music clips and afterwards, post your game online to share with others!

  • Woodworker

    Work towards your woodworker badge as you take a step back in time at the Tinker Swiss Cottage. A tour of the cottage looks at Robert Tinker’s skill as a woodworker. Tinker has several examples of wood burning, carving, and furniture making. Then off to the garden to gather sticks and create your own root wood creation.

  • Canoe Club

    Develop a good foundation for your canoe and kayaking skills. Learn about the proper use and procedures of canoes and kayaks in the safety of the pool. Then take your skills out to the Camp Dean pond, where you will also enjoy a number of boating games! (Cadettes in grades 6 & 7)

  • Build Your Thrills

    Discover the science of building your own amusement park by developing a carousel, designing a roller coaster car, and creating your own amusement park layout. What better way to get ideas for your own park than spending a day at Six Flags Great America? (Cadettes in grade 8)
