Resident, Family, and Day Camp
Resident (Overnight) camp is where girls live at camp for sessions ranging from 3 days/2 nights up to 13 days/12 nights. During their stay, girls live in sleeping cabins, platform tents, Adirondacks, or covered wagons. Girls can attend on their own, with a buddy (current Girl Scout or non-member), or with girls from their troop.
There are also family camp sessions for girls and an adult. Resident camp is delivered by seasonal staff. See pages 13–16 of the 2014 Camp Program Guide for descriptions of our resident camp sessions.
Day Camp offers girls the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors during the day and return home each evening. Camp Dean Day Camp does offer an overnight option once during the week-long program.
Council-Run Day Camp is currently offered at Camp Dean and facilitated by the Camp Dean Resident Camp Staff. See pages 17–18 of the 2014 Camp Program Guide for more information about our council-run day camps.
