Camp Dean has 160 acres of wetlands, woodlands, and prairies for campers to explore. Located in Big Rock, about an hour west of Chicago, Camp Dean offers a unique camp setting for girls that is far enough for adventure and independence but still feels close to home. The facilities include four program centers, grassy sport fields, pool, private lake, trails, creek, dining hall, health center, camp office and more.

 

Troops can camp overnight in Dean Lodge, White Tail Lodge and Whispering Oaks year round. Sleeping cabins, platform tents and primitive sites are available from April to mid-October all excluding resident camp season. Troops may utilize Camp Dean for day outings, as well. Facilities available during summer resident camp include an outdoor swimming pool and shower house, nature center, and air conditioned dining hall for campers.
