Join in Celebrations Across the Nation!
Girl Scouts was founded in 1912 by Juliette Gordon Low.She believed passionately that girls should be given the same opportunities as boys to develop physically, mentally, and spiritually. Since its inception, more than 50 million girls have been Girl Scouts. In the past 100 years, Girl Scouts have blazed trails in countless ways—from doing charity work during wartime to spearheading earth-friendly initiatives to creating the largest girl-led business in the world!
Historical Exhibits
Girl Scouts-Her-Story: GSNI will showcase the rich history ("her-story") of Girl Scouting's first 100 years with historical displays in area museums, libraries and community centers across our jurisdiction. Treasures we will be sharing include uniforms, sashes, berets, beanies, insignia, badges, books, photos, videos and much more!
