Make a difference in a girl’s life. Become a Girl Scout Volunteer!
If you have a skill, a spark, or just a dream of helping girls, there is a place for your volunteer spirit in Girl Scouting. Whether you have a lot of time or just a little, you can make a difference in the lives of girls.
Your interests and life experiences make you the perfect person to be a new kind of role model for girls. You can create a safe environment where girls can team up and every girl feels free to work toward her highest aspirations.
Girl Scout volunteers don’t need to be parents, have any history with the organization, or even be female. Girl Scouts is an inclusive organization whose mission is to build girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. Without volunteers, the mission cannot be fulfilled. Volunteers are the very backbone of the Girl Scout organization. From the at-home dad who leads his daughter’s Brownie troop, to the entrepreneur who speaks at a Girl Scout event about their business, to the college student who wants to share her passion for photography.
Already decided that you want to be a part of Girl Scouts? What you can expect: Upon receipt of your Volunteer Application and completion of your background check, you will receive an e-mail regarding volunteer training. Council staff will also contact you regarding your new role as a Girl Scout volunteer.
