Juliette Gordon Low founded Girl Scouts with the goal of bringing girls out of isolated home environments and into the open air. Under her leadership, the first Girl Scouts hiked, played basketball, went on camping trips, learned how to tell time by the stars, and studied first aid—many of them for the first time! GSNI stays true to Juliette’s vision by continuing to help girls learn new things, particularly at our camps.

GSNI Camps Dean and McCormick are getting a face-lift! Six new sleeping cabins are being installed at Camp Dean to replace several aging tent units. The sleeping cabins will be in Cherry Hollow and include screen windows with roll down coverings, framed wood walls and ceiling, and electric lighting!
