Did you know Brownies can earn an award while bridging from Brownies to Juniors? The Bridging Award is an optional award troops can earn while moving to a new level in Girl Scouting! Before the Brownie bridging ceremony, girls will take a step back and teach younger Girl Scout sisters about their Brownie experience. Next, they’ll learn from a troop of Juniors about what they have done and the awards earned as Juniors. Here’s how to earn the award:

Step 1: Pass It On! Girls will recall how excited they were when they were about to become Brownies. They will share their talents and skills by teaching younger Girl Scouts something they learned as Brownies and show them what awaits in the future!

Step 2: Look Ahead! Girls will learn what it’s like to be a Junior. They’ll join a Junior troop for a meeting and learn from their Girl Scout sisters about the fun and adventures Juniors experience! The girls will also be able to ask Juniors about the awards they earned, including the Girl Scout Bronze Award!

Additional information and ideas on how to earn the Bridging Award can be found in the Brownie Girl’s Guide to Girl Scouting.
