Adult Chaperones are needed for Girl Scout Leadership Institute (GSLI)! GSLI happens conjunction with Girl Scouts of the USA’s National Convention, this October 16–19, in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Chaperones’ roles and responsibilities include:

  • Understanding and following GSNI’s policies and procedures for teen travel
  • Working with girls in advance of GSLI to prepare them for travel to Utah, helping girls get to know each other and you, work with the group on money earning projects, and ensure they have a safe, fun, and engaging convention and GSLI experience
  • Attending the pre-event webinars for chaperones or downloading and viewing recorded webinars
  • Chaperoning the girls during all of GSLI and the National Convention
  • Participating in chaperone sessions to learn how to support girls’ back-home projects
  • Supporting girls when they return to implement their action plans

If you are passionate about girl leadership, please consider applying to be a chaperone! You’ll have the opportunity to work with the girls before, during, and after GSLI. You’ll help support their Take Action plans when they return home. To help you succeed, chaperones will even have their own adult sessions during GSLI on girls’ Take Action issues and the planning processes girls will use!
