Thanks to EVERYONE for your help with the Spring Re-Registration push. The campaign ended on June 15, but we calculated results on June 20 to allow a little wiggle-room for providing additional customer service to our members.

Have you heard? You don't need to be an official delegate to attend convention. Whether you're an alumna, volunteer, staff, or just a big believer in all the great things Girl Scouts do, you're invited to Girl Scouts' 53rd national convention! We're looking forward to welcoming you to spectacular Salt Lake City, Utah, October 16–19, 2014. (Select events—Girl Scout History Conference 2014, Board Chair/CEO learning sessions, and Girl Scout University sessions—start a few days prior to the full convention kickoff.)

GSUSA, in partnership with WAGGGS and Dove, recently launched Free Being Me, a global leadership initiative. Combined with It's Your Story—Tell It! Journey materials, the Free Being Me curriculum helps girls define beauty for themselves and boost their self-confidence in the process. Girls are invited to create PSA videos that show what they think beauty is and that celebrate the qualities that make them unique!

The GSNI Emissary Network provides girls with a chance to be in the spotlight. We asked some of our members to share what the program means to them. Today we have Amy Hoening talking about how the program has impacted her daughter, Grace.

Grace has enjoyed representing an organization that she believes in. She really liked the meal at Giovannis where she was able to lead people in a STEM project. She also liked being on the news. Most of all, whatever the assignment she just liked being an example of Girl Scouting.

GSNI will be offering a sampling of Girl Scout Brownie Activities at Aurora Township Youth Center located at 313 Gale Street in Aurora on Mondays from 5 p.m. until 6 p.m. from June 30 until July 28th. Girls entering second and third grades are invited to join us as we explore Girl Scout traditions, participate in team building games, learn about water conservation, and find out what makes each of us unique. Hope to see you out there!
