2011 National Council Session
The Board Development Committee is now accepting applications for the position of 2011-2014 National Council Delegates. Our National Council Delegates will represent Girl Scouts of Northern Illinois at the National Council Sesssion to be held in Houston, Texas November 10 -13, 2011.
A single slate of candidates will be presented for election at the April Annual Meeting. The term will begin immediately following the Annual Meeting and end at the Annual Meeting in 2014. Applicants must be a Girl Scout adult or girl member at least 14 years of age at the time of election and a United States citizen.
We will be electing approximately 7 National Council Delegates and 4 alternates. Expenses to attend the National Council Session will be paid for the National Council Delegates and at least two alternates.
Any member of Girl Scouts may attend the National Council Session as a visitor at their own expense, but must register through the council. Full registration fees for the National Council Session wil be $295 - $350 for adults and $225 - $275 for girls. Convention hotel costs will range from $140 - $190, plus tax per night. More information about registration will be shared in early spring.
